Recoverable resources in the Ørn exploration well are estimated at 8 – 14 million m3 of oil equivalent, corresponding to 50 – 88 million boe.

Evaluation of logging and sampling data has confirmed that Joe-1 has encountered 14 m of net oil pay in high-quality oil bearing sandstone reservoirs.

Analysis of the logs, use of offset comparison data and cut-offs, in conjunction with advanced wireline tools has indicated an increase in net pay of 17 m, which brings the total net pay to 58 m using the cutoffs from the nearby Waitsia field.

At an event in Rio de Janeiro, firms paid a total of US$3.74 million for the rights to explore the areas in question.

The 4-month survey will start in 3Q19 and will be conducted by the Polar Express immediately after its completion of a full North Sea summer season.

Analysis of the wireline logs acquired during drilling of the well supports the interpretation of a 77 m gross interval of potential oil reservoir.

The country's ongoing bidding round, which includes 10 onshore blocks in the Namibe and Benguela basin, will be presented at Africa Oil & Power 2019 in Cape Town, South Africa.

The project will comprise reimaging data from three overlapping seismic surveys totalling 3600 km2 that were acquired between 1999 and 2008.

The Annie gas discovery is the first by an offshore well in the Otway Basin, offshore Victoria, Australia, in 11 years.

Most of the companies that are active on the Norwegian shelf have submitted applications in this year’s Awards in Predefined Areas (APA) round.

The focus of the donation was to enhance teaching and research in the specific areas of reservoir characterisation and petrophysics within the university's Petroleum Geology and Petroleum Engineering courses.

VIC/P75 is in the central area of the Gippsland Basin offshore Victoria, Australia.
