Drilling & production - 19 June 2018

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted A/S Norske Shell a drilling permit for well 6304/3-1, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

The US has added close to 50 billion bbls over the last year and now holds an estimated 310 billion bbls of recoverable oil with current technologies, equal to 79 years of US oil production at present output levels.

Akofs Offshore has been awarded a contract for light well intervention services using the Akofs Seafarer vessel for all Equinor-operated licences in the period 2020 to 2025.

The multi-phase work programme, consisting of workover, new drill and pressure maintenance operations, is focused on increasing production and proving up substantial reserves at Zink Ranch that are believed by the Company to be economically recoverable.

This partnership aims to significantly improve operational efficiencies and reduce well costs over the life of the project through a holistic and collaborative development approach.
