The company has provided an operational update for its interests in the North Sea.

The Rungne exploration well 30/6-30 spudded on 19 October 2018 and was drilled to a total depth of 3469 m below sea level.

The Norwegian Petroleum Safety Authority has given Spirit Energy consent to drill exploration wells 8/10-7 S and 8/10-8 S in production licence 405 in the North Sea.

The well will be drilled from the Scarabeo 8 drilling facility.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate has granted Faroe Petroleum Norge AS a drilling permit for well 31/7-3 S, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Equinor and the Johan Sverdrup licence have awarded a jacket contract for the processing platform for Johan Sverdrup phase 2 to Kværner. The contract value is around NOK 900 million.

The company has announced that the Oil and Gas Authority (OGA) has approved the Field Development Plan (FDP) for the North Sea Columbus Development.

The company has received follow-up orders from its contract partner, the Norwegian service company Aibel, that are to tie in with phase 1 of the Johan Sverdrup oil field project.

The Petroleum Safety Authority have given Equinor Energy AS consent for exploration drilling of well 36/1-3.

Total E & P Norge AS has received consent to use Skirne and Byggve beyond the originally planned operational life.
