Mohawk Energy introduces new patch accesories

Mohawk Energy, a developer of tubular expansion technologies, has announced the launch of ThruPatch custom accessories. The company partnered with Black Sands Completions to develop custom ThruPatch tubing anchor catchers (TAC) and ThruPatch extended reach packers that are compatible with casing patches of various diameters.
The new patent pending tools feature a special slim-hole design to allow passage through ID restrictions such as a casing patch. Both the TAC and extended reach packer are available for 4 1/2 in., 5 1/2 in. and 7 in. applications. The tools drift through the expanded ID of Mohawk’s casing patch and set in the normal casing ID below.
