The five-year contract will see OEM provide services, including inspection, repair, corrective and preventative maintenance, supply of spare parts for diesel engines and diesel-driven equipment. The work will be carried out on a number of offshore drilling platforms in Abu Dhabi as well as the surrounding islands.
Founder and Managing Director of OEM, Barry Park, said: “The Middle East market has remained a strong focus for the group and this contract award is a superb addition to the group’s growing track record in the region, as we continue to increase our market share. Work has remained steady since our commitment to invest in the region back in 2020. We are committed to an ongoing investment in our local capabilities to drive our growth strategy, with expansion plans into Qatar and Saudi Arabia in a near future in partnership with SEW (a Mazrui Energy Services company).”
Olaf Grimm, General Manager at Sigma, added: “We are excited and proud to announce this significant award in the energy sector. This contract partnership will unify the technical expertise of both SEW and OEM in fulfilling an efficient delivery of services towards a trusted and successful collaboration. We, at Sigma Engineering, will continue to magnify our high-level portfolio as we aim for a larger demographic to step-up and grow strategically.”
