Seven companies offered Norway exploration licences

One is located in the Norwegian Sea and three in the Barents Sea.
Equinor has been offered production licences PL 1133 and PL 1134 in the Hoop area in the Barents Sea, both of which it will operate. The location will enable tie-in of any future discoveries to the Wisting field in the Barents Sea. A final investment decision for the Wisting licence is due by the end of 2022.
Vår Energi will operate PL 1072 B in the Barents Sea. INEOS will operate PL 1055 B in the Norwegian Sea.
