Island Drilling receive contract for UK wells

Island Drilling Company AS has announced that the company has been awarded a contract with CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of CNOOC Limited, to drill a well on the Howick prospect, located west of Shetland, block 206/21.
The contract has a duration of 60 days firm and options with start-up in June.
Programmed drilling start is the second quarter of 2019. Island Drilling Management will be responsible for operating the operation of Island Innovator. Island Drilling Company AS thanks CNOOC for the fact that the Island Innovator has been chosen for this drilling assignment.
CNOOC Petroleum Europe Limited is the operator of the Howick license with 100% ownership.
