The South East Etame 4P appraisal wellbore in the Etame Marin permit area has successfully encountered oilsands in the Gamba formation.

The company is presently preparing plans for drilling for the NJOM-3 well, offshore Cameroon, now that the site survey is complete.

The Yumna 1 well was spudded on 26 December 2019 and is located in Block 50, 30 km offshore east Oman.

Siemens will modernise a complete and integrated drilling-drives lineup, including auxiliaries and controls, that will be installed on an offshore jackup drilling rig for a customer in the Middle East.

The project will see the firm deliver two of its EC750 cranes for installation on wellhead platforms, as well as an EC1000 crane for a riser platform.

L5a-D4 is a high pressure, high temperature well located in the L5a-D field, around 100 km North of Den Helder, and tied back to the Neptune-operated L5a-D platform.

In 2018, North Sea oilfields recorded 307 individual months of no production in the year to September; in the same period last year, that figure had reduced to just 248, according to the Glacier Production Index.

The company has commenced another survey in northern Senegal, following the completion of another in the south of the country.

The work scope encompasses offshore packages at Arzanah island and surrounding offshore fields, located around 140 km off the north-west coast of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Octavio Romero, CEO of Pemex, has said he expects all the related contracting for this year’s projects to be finalised by the middle of this year.
