Aker BP is about to complete drilling of the Frosk exploration well 24/9-12 located near Alvheim in the North Sea. The well has proved oil. Preliminary analysis indicate a discovery size of 30 - 60 million boe, which is significantly more than the company’s pre-drill estimates of 3 - 21 million boe.

The company has appointed Christian Berven as Business Development Director and opened offices in Stavanger, Norway.

Shallow water projects will be responsible for over 92% of upstream CAPEX.

The project represents the first offshore application for the SGT-750 gas turbine. Equipment delivery is anticipated mid-2019 with first oil planned for 2022.

The company will deliver two modules for water and chemical injection from its yard in Egersund on the west coast of Norway, while its facility in Sandnessjøen in northern Norway will supply smaller modules and a flare boom.

Faroe Petroleum plc, the independent oil and gas company focusing principally on exploration, appraisal and production opportunities in Norway and the UK, has announced that it has executed a transaction with Suncor Energy Norge AS for the sale of a 17.5% working interest in the Fenja development located in PL586 in the Norwegian Sea.

The contract includes the construction and installation of the topside structure for the floating production, storage and offloading vessel (FPSO) to be located on the Johan Castberg field in the Barents Sea.

The three month project, which commenced in February 2018, will see TWMA provide an at source drilling waste management package at the Orlando Field in the UK northern North Sea.

The Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) has granted Statoil Petroleum AS a drilling permit for well 16/1-29 S, cf. Section 15 of the Resource Management Regulations.

Effective immediately, the contract is for two years with three one-year extension options, and includes the provision of rigging and scaffolding services on the facility, currently operating in the Pierce field.
