Mohawk Energy receives investment to advance international growth

Mohawk Energy, the expandable tubular well solutions specialist, has received an investment from private equity firm Buckthorn Partners to support its domestic and international growth ambitions.
Under the deal, Mohawk Energy (Mohawk) will combine forces with Coretrax, the independent wellbore clean-up and abandonment specialist, which Buckthorn invested in during December 2018.
Mohawk provides expandable solutions in pursuit of well integrity, improved well productivity and recovery. The Houston-based company has recently completed a number of significant long lateral refracs and well integrity installations in the US. More recently the company performed installations with a major operator in the North Sea to improve well productivity and performance using its novel wireline-based expandable technology. Established in 2004, the company operates across the US as well as in the North Sea and Middle East.
