AGR’s Training division, TRACS Training, is in the running for the 10th Getenergy Awards and has been shortlisted in the category acknowledging E&P training houses which have consistently developed and delivered industry leading training programmes.

The annual Getenergy Awards celebrate excellence in education and training for the global oil and gas industry across several categories. The winners will be announced on May 8 in London hosting the Getenergy Exhibition and Conference.

Established in 1992 and based in Aberdeen, AGR’s TRACS Training is currently celebrating its 25-year anniversary, having trained over 30 000 oil and gas professionals in more than 45 countries around the world.

AGR’s technical and commercial courses divided into eight Series are particularly well-known for their discursive, interactive and experiential nature; the fact that they are all comprehensively tailored for the needs of each client – using client case studies and data where possible; and are run by course tutors that include many of the industry’s leading experts, such as SPE and EAGE Distinguished Lecturers and authors of industry practitioner handbooks.

TRACS Training is the only training provider in the oil and gas sector to have developed blended learning packages that combine e-learning with face-to-face events. AGR also has strong links with academia collaborating with the leading universities in the UK, West Africa and Asia supporting the Petroleum Engineering and Geosciencies Master’s and PhD programmes.

Mark Bentley, Director of TRACS Training at AGR (pictured), comments, “We are very honoured to be shortlisted for the Getenergy Awards - this is a proof of the quality of the knowledge and retaining of technical skills we have provided to our participants. TRACS Training philosophy is to deliver tailored products, built on familiarity with, and understanding of, the technical communities involved.”
