Subsea UK to run new conference: ‘Financing for Growth’

This event will feature experts from leading banks, private equity firms, corporate finance advisers, law firms and economic agencies. These include Pinsent Masons, Simmons Energy, RSM, UK Export Finance, Santander, Scottish Enterprise, EV Private Equity and BGF.

The event, which is open to all SMEs, will include presentations on:

• preparing for success with an investor or buyer
• leading with finance
• finance solutions to fuel growth ambitions
• finance options and how to access them

Neil Gordon, Chief Executive of Subsea UK, said: “One of Subsea UK’s key aims is to help our member companies grow, whether that is in the UK or internationally. Recently, we have had feedback that companies are struggling to access the funds and the support they need to support their long-term growth ambitions.

“This event is our direct response to this challenge and we have put together a programme of speakers who, with their breadth of knowledge and experience, will be able to provide expert advice and guidance on a range of financing solutions and support.

Alan Dick, Senior Vice-President Industry and Technology of Simmons Energy, corporate finance advisers to the energy sector, will present at the conference. With a depth of technical knowledge and commercial understanding of the subsea sector, Simmons Energy has been involved in building subsea businesses for over 20 years.

The Financing for Growth event will run from 9:30am – 3pm on 30 May 2019 at the Sandman Signature Hotel, Aberdeen.
