Reactive Downhole Tools strengthens position in Middle East

Reactive Downhole Tools, independent supplier of well completion solutions to the global oil and gas industry, has announced Niall Urquhart as VP Eastern Hemisphere, to support its growth plans for the regions.

Boasting over 10 years of experience in the oil and gas sector, including project engineer for Baker Hughes, and regional sales manager – Middle East for Interwell, Niall’s experience in the region has proven to be key in his successful career.

Mike Allen, Chief Executive Officer of Reactive, said: “The Middle East continues to be a pivotal region for Reactive and remains central to our global growth strategy. Niall has been instrumental in establishing an excellent reputation in the area for us over that last four years, both as regional business development manager and general manager.

“Reactive has been awarded a number of significant contracts within the region, and we are firmly focused in order to meet the increasing needs of our clients, ensuring we service them to the optimum degree. Niall is a fundamental part of that activity.”

The appointment follows the firm’s recent investment of US$2 million into its Abu Dhabi-based production facility to support the contracts secured.

Niall commented: “I am delighted to take on this new role at an exciting time for Reactive, as we focus on strengthening our presence in the region with investment in both facilities and people. I look forward to being part of Reactive’s continued journey.”

Established in Aberdeen in 2012, the company currently employs a team of almost 40 across its bases in Aberdeen, Houston, Abu Dhabi, Norway as well as holding a number of representative agreements worldwide.
