Oilfield Technology,

Fotech Solutions has announced the appointment of Stuart Large as Product Line Director, Oil and Gas. Large has worked in the oil and gas industry for over sixteen years and brings a broad range of experience to Fotech at a time where the market continues to see unparalleled change.

Large kick-started his career as a field engineer at Haliburton Energy Services, before spending more than ten years at GE Sondex. At Sondex, as Product Line Leader, Global Account Executive and subsequently Wireline Technical Sales Manager, Large was responsible for driving major business revenue growth, both before and after their acquisition by GE Energy. Following this, Large was a Senior Account Manager at NuTech Energy Alliance where he was handled the expansion of NuTech Reservoir Intelligence services in Europe.

Large commented: “Fotech’s Distributed Acoustic Sensing (DAS) is a vital technology for the oil and gas industry. Presently, operators are becoming increasingly focused on efficiency and minimising product loss and DAS provides the real-time visibility and level of accuracy needed to maximise recovery and integrity. I am excited to join Fotech at a time where there is a genuine need for new innovative technologies to solve some key challenges for operators, and I look forward to working with the team to maximise those market opportunities.”

Commenting on the appointment, Chris Shannon, CEO, Fotech, said: “Stuart is a fantastic addition to our oil and gas product team. Stuart brings a wealth of industry experience, and with his expertise Fotech will be able to capitalise on the significant opportunity that the oil and gas industry currently presents. We look forward to working together to ensure Fotech’s continuing success.”
