Trelleborg finalises acquisition of Automated Dynamics

Trelleborg has, through its business area Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, fully acquired US-based privately-owned Automated Dynamics, an advanced composite components manufacturer.
The bolt-on acquisition provides new, strategic technology to develop next generation composites to solve a myriad of challenging applications in industries such as marine, hydro, and aerospace, expanding into the global marketplace.
Kristian Brok, President of Global Operations Elastomers at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, says: “Automated Dynamics’ engineering know-how and cutting-edge technology is a strategically important addition to Trelleborg. The expanded scope of capabilities and technology will be leveraged within our global market presence.”
The company is located in Niskayuna, New York. Sales amounted to approximately of US$7.8 million (approx. SEK 65 M) in 2016. The transaction was consolidated on December 1, 2017.
