Clough AMEC, a 50-50 joint venture between Clough and Wood, has announced that it has received a ConocoPhillips 2018 Supplier Recognition Award for 'Focus on Execution'.
ConocoPhillips business units around the world generated nominations internally, with winners chosen by a cross-functional committee of senior managers.
The award recognises the work undertaken by the Wood joint venture following the commencement of the Bayu-Undan operations and maintenance contract in January 2016. The joint venture provided the resources and supervision to execute a complex offshore work scope on the Bayu-Undan platform, including maintenance, shutdown, infill drilling preparation and demobilisation of the accommodation support vessel. They maintained a strong focus on HSE performance and completed work on or ahead of schedule and below budget, helping the Australia-West Business Unit achieve key operations goals.
Wood Contract Manager, Paul Abernathy said, “I am delighted that the team has been recognised by ConocoPhillips. Our team has consistently demonstrated a strong focus on safety and performance as well as working collaboratively with ConocoPhillips and other contractors."
Nigel Hudson, Wood Senior Vice President and contract sponsor added: “This is the second year that the team have been awarded such a prestigious international award by ConocoPhillips. Having secured the award for ‘Doing Business Better’ in 2016 the team have again delivered in 2018.”
The contract with ConocoPhillips involves asset support, operations and maintenance services to the Bayu-Undan development. The Bayu-Undan offshore facilities consist of a floating storage and offloading facility and three fixed platforms; a remote wellhead platform; a compression, utilities and quarters platform; and a drilling, production and processing platform.
