Pioneer Natural Resources appoints new board members

Pioneer Natural Resources Company, an independent exploration and production company, has appointed Mona K. Sutphen and Michael D. Wortley to its Board of Directors, effective immediately.
Ms. Sutphen and Mr. Wortley will bring their knowledge and experience, serving as independent directors under the board’s appointment for initial terms that expire at Pioneer’s annual meeting of stockholders in 2016.
About Mona Sutphen
Ms. Sutphen is a Partner at Macro Advisory Partners LLP, and spent three years at UBS AG as Managing Director, covering geopolitical risk and macro-policy trends. She has worked closely with President Obama and is a Member of the President’s Intelligence Advisory Board.
About Michael Wortley
Mr. Wortley has practiced corporate law for over 35 years, focusing primarily on corporate governance matters and mergers and acquisitions. He comes with over 25 years experience in management positions. Mr. Wortley has represented public and private entities and private equity funds in connection with mergers, asset sales, issuances of securities and restructurings. He is currently the Chief Legal Officer for Reata Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
