Independent global completions service company Tendeka has appointed a new Area Manager in Russia as the company aims to grow its presence in the region.

Nizami Musayev joins Tendeka from Interwell, where he was responsible for growing the company’s completion business. He previously spent 19 years working for Schlumberger in various roles starting from field up to management position.

He will be responsible for introducing Tendeka’s existing portfolio and new technology such as Cascade3, FloFuse and PulseEight into the Russia and CIS market.

FloFuse is the most recent injection technology to be launched by Tendeka, which has attracted interest due to its rate limiting control capability. PulseEight is a revolutionary wireless intelligent completion technology for the digital oilfield, and Cascade3 is a new sand control technology that improves recovery and the lifetime of water injection wells.

Mr Musayev said: “Tendeka has an impressive portfolio of technologies that I’m excited to highlight to the Russian and CIS markets. There are great opportunities for the company to grow, and I very much look forward to driving the business forward.

“I aim to increase awareness of Tendeka among operators and demonstrate its reputation as an industry leader in advanced completions and production optimisation. I want to help Tendeka become a trusted and long-standing contributor to the Russian and CIS markets.”

Gillian King, Tendeka’s Vice President for Europe, Russia, CIS & Africa said: “Nizami has a wealth of experience and great knowledge of this market which will be instrumental to helping us increase our presence in the region.

“There is clearly a huge market here, and I believe Tendeka has the technology and expertise to become a valued partner to the country’s key operators.”

Mr Musayev holds a BSc and MSc in Drilling Engineering both from the Azerbaijan Petrochemical Institute and has worked in Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Russia and Angola.
