New measuring ruler launched for front line oil and gas professionals

Oilfield Technology,
Rigrule® was designed by Andy Robinson, an offshore Assistant Driller with over 15 years experience in the industry. Wanting a pocket tool that made it easy to perform oilfield measurements and calculations, Andy realised he had found a gap in the market.
Rigrule has been designed to clearly display inch fractions, making conversions and accurate measurements simple. Drilling crews, technical departments, marine crews, company reps and service engineers will find Rigrule invaluable for regular day-to-day oil field calculations.
Rigrule is etched with inch fractions for use with O.D & I.D calipers for 100% exact measurements, critical in the industry.
Measuring tasks are made much easier using Rigrule, and it can be used for bottom hole assembly, tool sizes, measuring and converting nut and bolt sizes, as well as being a handy robust straight edge tool.
On the reverse of the ruler there are a series of industry recognised formulas and conversions which avoids the need to look elsewhere for this information.
Rigrule is also a great educational tool, which encourages junior level crewmembers to ask questions and learn how to accurately work out correct measurements, formulas and conversions.
As the only product of its type currently available specifically designed for use in the oil and gas industry and will attract interest from the following organisations:
- Drilling contractors.
- Oil and gas companies.
- Engineering contractors.
- Well control schools.
- Service providers.
- Training centres.
- Recruitment companies.
Rigrule is manufactured from stainless steel, weighs 50 g, measures 8 ½ in. by 1 3/8 in. and fits perfectly into a standard 8 ¼ in. tally book or breast pocket.
