Ikon Science RokDoc shortlisted for Energy Institute Technology Award

Ikon Science has announced that its RokDoc Ji-Fi software has been shortlisted for a prestigious Energy Institute Award. RokDoc Ji-Fi, is a software system that uses analytic data from global and regional well trends to generate high fidelity geological models and subsurface rock properties from seismic data.

This year the Energy Institute Awards (EI Awards) received over 140 applications from 23 countries. Established in 1999, the EI Awards respects enterprises and people who have demonstrated a high level of duty and commitment to industry and have made critical achievements in the Energy sector. Former winners include: - E.ON, Marks & Spencer and BAE systems.

Martyn Millwood Hargrave CEO of Ikon Science said, “in an oil industry ripe for new effective technology thinking RokDoc Ji-Fi is the fast proving to be the leading industry tool to obtain a reliable prediction of reservoirs and fluids in exploration development and production. It is not only winning recognition for prestigious awards for physics and innovation, but a place in every leading upstream company’s tool-kit. It is an honour that this technology, that is the result of so much investment, high science and dedicated team collaboration, has been recognised by the Energy Institute.

Winners will be announced at the EI Awards event on 10 November. Ikon’s CEO and Michel Kemper, Ikon’s Director of Research and Innovation will be in attendance.
