U.S. Water launches ScaleGone™

Published by , Editor
Oilfield Technology,

U.S. Water, a leading national provider of integrated solutions for process efficiency and water treatment, is introducing new ScaleGone™ and ScaleGone CI, an innovative, long-lasting (up to several years), slow release, solid scale inhibitor (SI) and combined SI/corrosion inhibitor (CI) for hydraulic fracturing fluids as well as use in producing wells.

ScaleGone solid scale inhibitor particles, which measure the same size as proppant, can be introduced during stimulation treatment, ensuring distribution throughout the well fracture. Safe to use with other stimulation products, new ScaleGone slowly releases into well produced fluids. In addition, ScaleGone can be introduced into already producing wells.

New ScaleGone and ScaleGone CI are slow release products, providing long-lasting scale and corrosion protection, up to several years depending on loading. These products can prevent deposition in the wellbore area and the tubing just as powerfully as they do at the formation face to prevent scale and costly production problems.

According to Bob Long, General Manager of U.S. Water Energy Services, “New ScaleGone and ScaleGone CI have extended U.S. Water’s ability to deliver integrated solutions to resolve the root cause of operator’s problems. With our family of ScaleGone products, we can provide Flow Assurance and Asset Integrity throughout the life of a well, with no need for truck treating liquid products or tanks and pumps for continuous feeding of liquid chemicals. ScaleGone helps ensure maximum well production by preventing scale deposits, which reduce flow, as well as the ability to provide extended well integrity with corrosion protection, utilising the newest technology ScaleGone CI.
