“The features offered in the Rig Rider styles are perfect for multiple markets, but designed specifically for oilfield workers needing impact protection and superior grip,” explained Brent Fidler, President and CEO of Southern Glove. “The options of corded or textured palms offer enhanced grip, depending on the work environment. Ultimately, the Rig Rider glove offers impact protection, comfort, and grip for the modern oilfield worker at a value not found elsewhere in the industry.”
Southern Glove’s Rig Rider gloves are constructed with a high-visibility green polyester stretch back and high-visibility orange Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR) impact-resistant pads on the back of hand, fingers, and thumb. The corded palm option is a poly/cotton blend that provides excellent grip in wet conditions. The textured palm option is made from tough nylon/polyurethane synthetic leather material and has palm patches and padding for extra grip. Both palm options for the Rig Rider feature a black neoprene cuff and synthetic leather pull.
