Prosep strengthens its market position with internal restructure

ProSep, the oil, gas and produced water treatment specialist, has announced an internal restructure and strategic reorganisation as the company seeks to strengthen its position amidst ongoing industry challenges.

Appointment of new CEO

As part of the reorganisation Patrick McCarthy, who was appointed to the board of directors 12 months ago, will assume the role of chief executive officer. Former CEO, Neil Poxon, will remain with the company to oversee the transition until the end of the year.

McCarthy has 40 years’ experience in oilfield services, which have seen him serve at board-level for more than a decade, and as a senior officer for over 20 years at a number of international service companies. Under his guidance, these organisations experienced significant growth, with McCarthy playing a vital role in the development and implementation of expansion strategies through partnerships, acquisitions, diversifications and business development.

The restructure will also see ProSep renew its focus on its proprietary ProPure mixer technologies, which will include new research and development. The technology – which is already being utilised by major operators including Pemex, Statoil and Saudi Aramco – offers a cost-effective and reliable solution for reducing chemical consumption, maximising hydrocarbon recovery, and process optimisation.

McCarthy says:

“The oil and gas landscape is growing more volatile and it’s crucial that we address these challenges in a proactive way, and adapt our operations to serve the changing needs of the industry. It’s been a privilege to work with Neil for the last 12 months and this reorganisation means we can refocus our efforts and ensure that we are positioned to support our clients by providing innovative solutions to optimise operations.

“ProSep has a fantastic portfolio of proprietary solutions for the effective treatment of oil, gas, and produced water. While a large part of our focus is on promoting the genuine results our mixers can deliver, clients will continue to receive the highest quality of service for our entire range of purpose-designed solutions.”
