Statoil awarded four blocks offshore Brazil

Statoil and partners were the high bidders for four blocks in the Campos basin in Brazil’s 15th licensing round held on 29 March. With the new licenses, Statoil strengthens its position in Brazil and increases synergies with current projects.

 
 
 

Sembcorp Marine wins TechnipFMC contract

Sembcorp Marine Ltd has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Sembcorp Marine Rigs & Floaters Pte. Ltd., has secured a contract from TechnipFMC to undertake the Engineering, Procurement and Construction of Hull and Living Quarters for a newbuild Floating Production, Storage and Offloading vessel (FPSO).

Chrysaor farms-in to Grevling discovery in Norwegian North Sea 

OKEA has announced that Chrysaor, the leading oil & gas independent, has through its Norwegian subsidiary Chrysaor Norge A.S. entered into an agreement with OKEA to acquire a 15% interest in the PL038D license, covering the Grevling oil discovery in the Norwegian North Sea.

 
 
 

OGIC invests more than £300 000 into new UK projects

The Oil & Gas Innovation Centre (OGIC) has invested more than £300 000 into three new projects which have the potential to cut operational costs and improve efficiency in the oil and gas industry.
