Applied Petroleum Technology has ramped up its presence in Houston to support US operators involved with shale oil as well as companies engaged in offshore E&P in the Gulf of Mexico.

Sources have said boards of both companies are meeting to begin discussions that could take many months and ultimately result in Keppel Corp. hiving off its offshore and marine business and combining it with Sembcorp Marine.

The three 3D seismic surveys were acquired from Polarcus.
