Xodus appoints new advanced analysis lead

Ismael Ripoll will be responsible for leading the team which specialises in finite element analysis (FEA) covering a variety of areas including steel and flexible pipelines, pressure vessels and structures.
With more than 12 years’ experience in subsea pipeline and FEA engineering, Ripoll joins Xodus from Intecsea where he acted as technical authority of the advanced analysis team. He has also worked for KW Subsea and Atkins and has successfully led several consultancy projects.
Ripoll, who will be based in the company’s London office, said: “I am pleased to be joining a company with such a strong reputation for technical excellence.
“The advanced analysis team has a clear drive for innovation and for complex problem solving. I look forward to working with this highly talented group of individuals to develop new ideas and ways of working, so we can provide better results for our clients.”

Ripoll has a master’s degree in civil engineering, is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and is a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (MICE).
