Logan Industries CCTLF successfully utilised on the Atwood Condor

Oilfield Technology,

A Logan Industries 750/500 t compensating coiled tubing lift (CCTLF) has performed well on the Atwood Condor for subsea P&A operations during July and August 2015. Logan provided a full service approach including engineering, manufacturing, pre-deployment testing and service and an offshore team to operate the CCTLF.

The CCTLF is engineered to provide redundancy to active heave compensation deployed on a drillship or semi-submersible. The development of the Logan CCTLF system is the result of many years of service and repair experience on deep-water motion compensating equipment including compensating coiled tubing lift frames.

Joe Cooper, Atwood Condor OIM, commented: “Very well made machine. Got the job done safely and efficiently. Good job.”
