Gulf Marine Services (GMS) has announced the award of a 6.5-month contract (firm period plus options to extend) for a K-Class (Small) vessel. GMS's customer is an international EPC contractor, for which GMS will provide support for offshore activities on behalf of a Middle East national oil company.
The work will be undertaken in United Arab Emirates waters, where the vessel has already been mobilised for the project.
Utilisation of GMS's K-Class fleet now stands at 83%.
Tim Summers, Executive Chairman, commented: "We are encouraged by the steady emergence of new tenders in our core Gulf market, which will allow GMS to focus on building towards full utilisation of all classes of vessel in our fleet."
