Pars Oil & Gas: South Pars platform 20 to load this week

The project development supervisor of 20 & 21 phases of South Pars claimed that the platform 20 which is progressed for 98% in its construction would be loaded by 24 October from the industrial yard of the offshore company in KhoramShahr in order for being transported to the tank position.
AlirezaEbadi, the project engineer claimed that the Platform 20 is the second and last platform of 20 &21 phases of South Pars which is constructed and installed by the domestic specialists with considering the exact safety principles and procedures.
According to what the supervisor of 20 & 21 phases has claimed, the mentioned platform produces and transports around 1 million ft3 of gas from the common field of South Pars to the land refinery of the phases.
The platform 21 of South Pars weighting 2 thousand and 700 t has been installed in its position by August. The operationalising procedures of the platform is being continued and as Ebadi has claimed would be ended up by mid-November.
The supervisor of 20 & 21 phases interpreted that the loading of platform 20 after about three months from its installment has been the result of the efforts and technical capabilities of employer and contractor teams of this giant project. “With the utilisation of 20 & 21 platforms, 2 billion ft3 equal to 57 million m3 of gas would be extracted from the offshore part of these two phases”, he claimed pointing to the operationalisation of these two structures in the current year.
