Integrity monitoring solutions specialist North East Corrosion Engineers (NECE), part of the ICR group, has secured a significant contract for the provision of corrosion and microbial monitoring services on four North Sea assets.

The contract will run for three years with the option for a further two years.

NECE had previously provided corrosion and microbiological monitoring service on two of the North Sea installations. The new contract establishes NECE as the preferred supplier for corrosion monitoring and microbiological monitoring services for all four assets.

“Our ability to deliver a complete and packaged integrity monitoring service, covering a broad range of solutions, saves clients having to engage multiple suppliers and creates clear cost and logistical efficiencies for them,” said NECE’s Business Development Manager, Chris Mountford.

“In mature regions, such as the North Sea, corrosion and microbiological monitoring are vital to ensure that the integrity of ageing assets is maintained.”

NECE provides a range of integrity monitoring solutions for a number of operators in the North Sea.

ICR’s Chief Executive Officer, Bill Bayliss, said: “With the improvements and changes made within the ICR Group of companies, both managerially and operationally, we are starting to see the dividends of all our hard work. We are motivated to ensure that the ICR business will continue to grow at pace in the coming months and service many new clients both internationally and in the UK.”

The ICR group includes five companies delivering world class integrity, maintenance solutions and technology to an international customer base in the oil and gas, energy and defence sectors through its subsidiaries NECE, Chemical Injection Utilities (CIU), Walker Technical (WTR) Quickflange and Moss.
