Oilfield Technology,
EM&I had a busy and successful week in Singapore from 10 - 12 April 2019.
First win was a presentation made to around 80 industry leaders to launch a new JIP (yet to be named!) focused on the rapidly growing Floating Gas market which EM&I is set to lead.
Second win was the HITS JIP (Hull Inspection Techniques and Strategy Joint Industry Project) workshop, now in its 6th year, but this time another record attendance of 26 representatives of the Oil Majors, large Lease Operators, top four class societies and leading R&D academic groups.
Danny Constantinis (HITS Project Director) and Raymond Caldwell the technical specialist for the HITS programme presented the successful programme completed for HITS 5 and pointed the way forward for HITS 6. This exciting JIP has gathered huge momentum by encouraging diverless inspection technology and now launching technology to inspect tanks and confined spaces with high performance robotic visual and laser inspections tried out on a live asset.
The third win was a practical demonstration of the latest EM&I technologies, NoMan®, Analyse™, ExPert™ and ODIN®, to a keen audience of class societies, operators and oil majors which resulted in multiple new opportunities for EM&I services in the offshore sector but with increasing interest from the marine shipping world.
Danny Constantinis, (Executive Chairman) of the EM&I Group commented: “This was a great opportunity to show EM&I leadership to key stakeholders in the Oil Gas industry and proves that our strategy of producing solutions which enhance safety, bring savings, and improve production efficiency brings dividends”.
