Strike action in Norwegian North Sea called off

Following the announcement on 12 February 2021 concerning potential strike action affecting production from the Johan Sverdrup field, Lundin Energy AB has said that agreement has been reached between the SAFE union, which represents onshore and offshore energy workers in Norway, and the Norwegian Oil and Gas Association (NOROG).

As such the threatened strike action has been called off and production operations at the Johan Sverdrup field and Mongstad terminal, operated by Equinor, will continue as normal.
