The Oman Ministry of Oil & Gas have announced that bidding for the 2016 licensing round is now underway. Using a new online service launched in October 2015, interested parties are now able to access and evaluate data relating to all four blocks on offer entirely over the internet.

The blocks offered as part of the Oman Bid Round 2016 are: Block 30, Block 31, Block 49, and Block 52.

Recent investment in a new digital system implementation has enabled the Ministry to offer advanced evaluations online. The service has been designed to provide a ‘Living Data Room’ with online tools for searching, visualisation and analysis of available block data on an easy-to-use web interface, which offers the ability to access the full range of data from any location. As well as high-quality raw data, additional 'ready to use' interpretation projects are also available to subscribers.

The online service is available at ldr.digitalenergycloud.com. Oil and gas companies experienced in upstream projects are invited to participate and subscribe. Bidding closes at [00:00 on February 15, 2017].
