EM&I have announced that they will be hosting the 40th FPSO Research Forum JIP week in April, and for the first time in the UK.

In the FPSO Research Forum, oil companies, operators, contractors, yards, research institutes, and safety authorities, share their experience of FPSOs. Subjects covering the complete lifecycle from concept development to operation are presented in the Forum, and new ideas and development plans are discussed.

The Forum was initiated by the participants in the FPSO Integrity JIP in 1998, and has been meeting twice a year since. The Forum’s open meetings form a part of the FPSO JIP week, in which Joint Industry Projects related to FPSO R&D have their progress meetings.

The 40th anniversary event will take place in Cumbria, UK, from 9 - 13 April.

The theme will be ‘Asset Integrity in a $50 Barrel World’.
