New awards and escalations totalled US$1.1 billion, raising order backlog to US$5.2 billion.

One of the oldest platforms on the Norwegian continental shelf, Statfjord A, operated by Equinor, was originally scheduled to be shut down in 1999.

Under the terms of the agreement, Eni will pursue exploration activities in the offshore area of over 2800 km2, located in the northern territorial waters of the Kingdom of Bahrain, with water depth ranging from 10 up to 70 m.

Contracts for six of the eight rigs were awarded to Gulf Drilling International (GDI), while the contracts for the remaining two rigs were awarded to Northern Offshore Drilling Operations Ltd.
