Dolphin Drilling has secured a new combined contract with Norwegian oil and gas operator DNO Norge AS.

The Liuhua 29-1 gas field, which recently completed commissioning, is located in the eastern South China Sea.

Ironbark-1 will test the giant Ironbark gas prospect, which has a best estimate of 15 trillion ft3 prospective recoverable gas resource.

Preliminary estimates place the size of the discovery between 0.5 and 1.6 million m3 of recoverable oil equivalent.
