PTSC awarded contract for Gallaf offshore project

PetroVietnam Technical Services Corp. (PTSC M&C) has been awarded the main EPCIC contract for the Gallaf Batch 3 Project, the next development phase of the Al-Shaheen oilfield located offshore Qatar.

Al Shaheen is Qatar’s largest offshore oilfield and one of the largest offshore oilfields in the world. It is operated by North Oil Co, a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and TotalEnergies. The EPCIC package is part of the Gallaf Batch 3 Project including two wellhead platforms with a total weight of up to 19 000 t.

The contract, awarded by North Oil Co., consists of detailed design, procurement, construction, pre-commissioning, commissioning, load-out, sea-fastening, transportation and installation, hook-up and offshore commissioning.

All onshore works shall be performed at PTSC M&C's fabrication yard in Vung Tau City, Vietnam.

PTSC M&C is also the main contractor for Gallaf Batch 1, and successfully delivered three wellhead platform topsides to North Oil Co. in mid-2020.
