EM&I has been awarded the prestigious RoSPA President’s award for 14 consecutive gold medals in the Occupational Health & Safety category.

“Safety is the key to successful operations” commented Danny Constantinis (Executive Chairman) of the EM&I Group. “It has to become a culture throughout the company, so that everyone is committed to safe operations. Training, the right equipment, and technologies can also contribute to a successful safety record.”

EM&I has pioneered diverless, robotic and digital asset integrity technologies that are safer, faster, more economic and greener than traditional technologies using divers and rope access teams.

The company's leadership of the JIP (Joint Industry Project) called HITS (Hull Inspection Techniques & Strategy) on behalf of the Global FPSO Research Forum over the last eight years has produced a number of innovations and technologies which all help to improve safety.

Further JIPs on Floating Wind and Floating Gas assets will expand the work carried out by the industry to improve safe ways of working.

Fatalities in the energy industries have spiked in recent years - particularly in diving operations, working at height, or in confined spaces, so the ODIN® diverless UWILD (Under Water Inspection in Lieu of Drydocking), and NoMan® remote camera and laser scanning systems have all helped to reduce such risks.
