The International Well Control Forum (IWCF) has launched a new online well control training system, ‘FORUM’, which will replace the current paper based method. IWCF has created FORUM in order to adapt to the changing needs of the industry.
A one-off registration on FORUM is required for any candidate to receive a place on the course and this registration will create an individual profile, which will allow the candidate to view their IWCF qualification history. Traditional paper exams will continue to be offered at the discretion of individual centres but online exams will also be introduced next year.
General Manager of IWCF, Antony Quin, said: “Giving candidates an online profile makes the registration process easier and also enables them – as well as employers and potential employers – to verify their qualifications as all new certificates and wallet cards include a QR code which can be scanned to check with the online system”.
