The two companies have completed a survey offshore Egypt on behalf of Shell.

The Deepsea Stavanger mobile rig is scheduled to drill three exploration wells from February 2022.

The work for Santos included geophysical and geotechnical surveys, consisting of multiple Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) and borehole locations up to 100 m.

Serica Energy said the well requires sand screens to be installed to prevent fine particles being produced – difficulties were encountered while running the screens and it was ultimately not possible to install them.

The site survey is expected to commence at the end of July 2021 and be completed in 3Q21.

The drilling programme for well 16/1-34 S concerns the drilling of an appraisal well in production licence 167. Lundin Energy Norway AS is the operator with an ownership interest of 40%.

Finder Energy has acquired the UK North Sea P2502 and P2524 licences from Azinor Catalyst Ltd.

The Dvalin North discovery, estimated to hold between 33-70 million boe, is 12 km north of the company’s operated Dvalin field, and 65 km north of the operated Maria field.

The well was drilled 26 km south of the Sleipner Øst installation and 9 km south of the Grevling discovery in the North Sea, about 240 km west of Stavanger.

The MoU also includes possible cooperation within greenhouse gas emissions and carbon management.

The 3D and 4D programmes will be conducted over 9 months by the SW Empress, over the Marlim, Albacora and Voador fields, starting in late 2Q21.

The survey will cover approximately 17 000 line km and work as an extension of the existing TGS Pelotas 2D.
