Saipem receives US$ 800 million worth of new contracts
Europe’s largest oil services company has revealed that it has received US$ 800 million worth of new contracts in Mexico and Australia.
The company has signed a contract with Mexico’s Transportadora de Gas Natural Norte-Noroeste that will see it supply pipeline-related services between El Encino and Topolobampo on the west coast of Mexico. The 30 in. pipeline will cover 430 miles and will have two compressor stations. The line’s predicted capacity is 670 million ft3/d and is due to be completed by the beginning of 2016.
Saipem also arranged a new deal to increase the amount of work it will be doing on the Santos GLNG Gas Transmission Pipeline Project in Queensland, Australia. The 42 in. pipeline will stretch 260 miles and supply coal seem natural gas to the Curtis Island LNG facility. Saipem expects the project to be completed 20 months from now.
