The contract covers an area of 1600km2 for 3D seismic with associated 2D work to be executed over a 1.5-month period from end 3Q19 for the undisclosed client. The SW Vespucci is a highly flexible seismic vessel able to effectively conduct source, 2D, 3D, and ocean bottom nodal seismic acquisition, thereby maximising vessel utilisation and minimising transit times.
“The MPV platform is ideally suited for clients with diverse project requirements,” said Irene Waage Basili, the CEO of Shearwater GeoServices. “It has allowed us to build a unique position in Southeast Asia and the award to SW Vespucci is a further confirmation of the strong value we offer to clients in the region.”
