C-MAR secures supply contract with Bourbon Offshore
C-MAR, the leading international marine and offshore services business, has won a major new contract with Bourbon Offshore.
The three-year agreement will commence in January 2015 and see C-MAR supply Dynamic Positioning assurance services to a large offshore vessel owner.
This significant contract win comes in response to the increasing requirement by oil majors for third party vetting of fleet owners’ DP assurance to enhance the resilience of support vessel operations. The decision by Bourbon Offshore to appoint an independent auditor for its entire DP Fleet will generate consistency in the DP performance of the company’s vessels while also ensuring that they adhere to the highest industry standards.
Peter Aylott, COO of C-MAR Group, said: “This is a significant achievement for C-MAR and is the second global fleet contract award that we have secured in as many years. It also demonstrates the continued growth of client recognition for our DP Centre assurance services around the world.”
C-MAR’s London-based Dynamic Positioning Centre will provide standardised Failure Mode Effect Analysis (FMEA), DP audits and more bespoke DP services as well as training support. The partnership arrangement will aim to deliver more uniform standards, enhance overall capability and consolidate the reputation of both organisations.
