Oilfield Technology,

ADVANCED technology that provides consistent analysis of mud properties during the drilling of oil and gas wells will be showcased for the first time at the AADE (American Association of Drilling Engineers) National Technical Exhibition and Conference.

Salunda Ltd’s (Booth 27) MudChecker is a compact, rugged and solid-state tester that can be quickly deployed on a drill site to provide accurate and consistent data about the mud properties that are critical to fast, safe and accurate drilling.

The technology avoids the need to wait several hours to complete a retort and titration mud check, saving time in the process, facilitating the capacity for repeated checks and boosting productivity levels.

Gerard Cooke, sales director for Salunda, said AADE provides an ideal platform to demonstrate the analyser’s capacity to support US drilling operations, saving time and costs in the process.

“We are committed to investing in new product development to provide sector customers with added value solutions. I’m sure the benefits our products provide will be of huge interest to show visitors looking for added value and advanced instrumentation capabilities.”

Salunda, which will be presenting a conference paper on its latest infield testing, will have MudChecker units and drilling fluid samples available on the booth for visitors to try out.
