Sempra energy raises annualised dividend by 6%.

Sempra Energy has announced that its board of directors has approved a 6% increase in the dividend on shares of the company's common stock to US$2.80 per share, on an annualised basis, from US$2.64 per share.

The first quarterly instalment of the new dividend, US$0.70 per share, is payable 15 April 2015, to shareholders of record on 27 March 2015.

Sempra Energy, based in San Diego, is a Fortune 500 energy services holding company with 2013 revenues of more than US$10.5 billion. The Sempra Energy companies' 17 000 employees serve more than 31 million consumers worldwide.
