Element Materials Technology, the fastest-growing global materials testing company, will bring together leading Oil and Gas industry experts at its Oilfield Engineering with Polymers 2014 conference on 21 - 23 October in London, UK.

Speakers from Element, along with experts from Baker Hughes, Statoil and Total, will provide critical insights into the role thermoplastics; elastomers; and composite materials and components will play in the very latest oilfield applications.

Rod Martin, Element’s Executive Vice President, Oil and Gas, comments: “This event is a unique opportunity for industry experts to debate current trends in the oilfield industry and the engineering demands of exploration and production in increasingly hostile environments. Our biennial conference is an internationally recognized thought leadership platform that will continue to grow in influence as Element expands its presence within the global Oil and Gas industry.”

Over 250 delegates have registered their attendance from industry giants such as Chevron, Dupont, Haliburton, Petrobras, Shell and Subsea 7 among others.

Formerly known as the ‘MERL’ conference, the event will begin on the same day as Element Hitchin opens a new High Pressure High Temperature (HPHT) testing laboratory, more than doubling its capacity in evaluating and qualifying materials for Oil and Gas sector clients.
