AS Norske Shell receives consent to use Island Constructor

AS Norske Shell has received consent for the use of Island Constructor for the start-up of well 6407/9-G-5 on the Draugen field.

Draugen is an oil field in the Norwegian Sea in 250 metres of water. The field has been developed using a fixed concrete facility with an integrated deck. Stabilised oil is stored in tanks in the base of the facility.

Island Constructor is a facility designed for well intervention which is operated by Island Offshore Management AS. The facility received Acknowledgement of Compliance (AoC) in September 2010.
