Atwood Oceanics awarded one-well drilling services contract with Woodside Energy

Atwood Oceanics, Inc. has announced that one of its subsidiaries has agreed to a one-well drilling services contract with Woodside Energy Ltd for the ultra-deepwater rig, Atwood Osprey, offshore Australia. The contract will commence between 24 May, 2017 and 7 July, 2017 and has an estimated duration of approximately one hundred and thirty (130) days. The operating day rate will be US$185 000/d.
Atwood Oceanics, Inc. is a leading offshore drilling contractor engaged in the drilling and completion of exploratory and developmental wells for the global oil and gas industry. The company currently owns 10 mobile offshore drilling units and is constructing two ultra-deepwater drillships. The company was founded in 1968 and is headquartered in Houston, Texas.
