Apollo further expands engineering service

Apollo, the engineering consultancy and project management provider, has expanded its structural engineering capability by launching a new business offering.

Engineering analysis

The company supplies engineering analysis and design expertise for topsides, marine and subsea projects. Apollo’s latest service offers global structural analysis support for platform jackets.

Apollo has an extensive track record in front-end and detailed engineering design work for offshore platforms and pipelines. It also has a successful marine engineering group to support the drilling rig and construction vessel market.The new service will provide structural integrity management and inspection management, pushover analysis, as well as fatigue, environmental analysis, ship impact and collision analysis services.

Graham Fergusson, Apollo’s Structural Business Unit Manager, commented: “We have always planned to enter the global platform jacket analysis market. It is a service that complements our existing design and engineering business streams.”

Jonathan White, Apollo Business Development Director, added: “Apollo is all about development and growth and we are seeking new areas to help our clients. Our recent increased capability emphasises that we are a fast, responsive and dynamic business.”

Apollo currently employs 50 engineers between its offices in Aberdeen, Nottingham and London. The company plans to significantly increase employee numbers both locally and internationally.
