Churchill Drilling Tools’ double shortlist in top awards

The company has been nominated in both the Export Achievement and Great Small Company categories.

A recognised innovator in down-hole dart activated tools, Churchill has seen considerable success with expansion in the Middle East, bringing in over £1 million of business and capturing 50% of the CircSub market between the beginning and end of 2016.

Demand for the product range continues to increase and the company recently opened new workshop facilities in Abu Dhabi – allowing Churchill to offer full lifecycle and service support in the region.

Mike Churchill, CEO and commercial director, said of the award nominations: “I am delighted that Churchill Drilling Tools has been nominated as a finalist for two Offshore Achievement Awards. Last year was a busy one for us and we have expanded considerably – both from an operational and commercial perspective. Our decision to expand in the Middle East has met with significant success and I am pleased that the efforts of the team over there can be recognised in this way.

The SPE Aberdeen Offshore Achievement Awards (OAA) are the biggest and longest established industry awards for the UK offshore energy sector, covering all aspects from supply to upstream operations and offshore renewables. For over 30 years, the awards have been celebrating and encouraging innovation and collaboration in the North Sea. Winners will be announced at an evening reception at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre on Thursday, 23 March 2017.
